| RYAN PREMISES VISITOR CENTER DESCRIPTION This feature exhibit demonstrates the technique of Green Fishing which was done off the coast of Newfoundland in the 1700's and 1800's. The process is explained through 10 steps or animations which are activated by the visitor. The diorama consists of the fishing boat, animated fishermen, animated backgrounds and fiber optic lighting combining to create a typical fishing day on the ocean. The figures are styled after wooden folk art dolls, hand sculpted and hinged to perform the variety of tasks required. The puppet show is activated by a push button operated by the visitor. House of Kevin was responsible for the fabrication, painting and mechanical aspects of the display.
