THE EARTH SCIENCES GALLERY

DESCRIPTION

The Earth Sciences Gallery combines interactive and artifact displays that explore the geological makeup of the earth.

House of Kevin was responsible for the design, fabrication and installation of the Dynamic Earth Exhibit and the Electronic Map of Restless Earth.

The Dynamic Earth is a 10' 0" diameter which hangs in the gallery and explores the earth from the inside out using fiber optic lighting effects to simulate the core and molten plumes beneath the earth's surface. The Electronic Map functions through the use of edge lit optics and explains the main features of the earth's surface such as volcano and earthquake zones.
