Authentication Fields

These input fields are configured by the g_authent_info settings in the SurgeMail configuration. Below are a list of default g_authent_info fields and their meanings.

Disk Quota (bytes)

The users maximum allowed disk quota in bytes

Full Name

The users full name.

Phone

The users phone number.

Groups

User groups the user belongs to.

Account Status

Status of this account. Valid settings are:

ok (or good), suspended, cancelled, banned, closed, paydue, payup

The account status field in the database allows the domain controller to easily manage accounts. See Managing Accounts for more information.

Access type

Access to the surgemail POP, IMAP and SMTP facilities can be controlled on a per user basis by defining a series of access groups. Users can belong to one or more access groups. See Managing Accounts for more information.
