Reporting

Through the KazTrix report page you can perform advanced searching for your records or generate detailed reports. The purpose of the report is to provide you with collective and/or selective information about your database presented in the form of a table, spreadsheet or single record layout. Although the report screen offers an HTML output, this is merely a table layout and is not the same as web-publishing your database.

Step 1 - Report By/Filtering

In this step you can instruct the report to look for specific information and generate a report according to the returned result.

Example:
Lets say you want to create a report (or search) for all your customers in your database who's phone number has the area code "416" and that their first name is "John". You would then click on the checkbox next to the field that contains that information (in this case "Phone" and "First Name") and enter the number 416 and the word John respectively.

You may do this for as many fields as you want, or none at all.
If you want to generate a report with all the information available, do not check any of the boxes.

NEW! When you have a field comprised of purely numerical data, you can apply additional filtering features in the Report feature.  To use, click the Report tab.  Range reporting is best with record numbers (e.g. from record #100-250), but can work on any numeric field.

In Report By – Step 1, click a check box next to the field you wish to range report.  Click the Range box to specify that you wish to select a range of output.

Now, enter the minimum value you would like to be reported in to “From” field. Enter the maximum value you would like to be reported in the “To” field. Proceed as usual, and a range of data as specified in the From-To fields will be outputted.
