  Mr. Lazarus has carried on a professional, sole practitioner accounting practice in Toronto, ONT as "Russell Lazarus, Chartered Accountant", since 1978. He was the president, director and CEO of Purl Capital Corporation (ASE - PUL) from 1998 to 2001. Mr. Lazarus was associated with Wagman, Gold, Nelson & Singer, Chartered Accountants in Toronto, ONT, in a supervisory capacity from 1976 to 1978. From 1975 to 1976, Mr. Lazarus was associated with Laventhol and Horwath, Chartered Accountants in Toronto, ONT, auditing large national companies and financial institutions. Mr. Lazarus was Chief Financial Officer, director and shareholder of Western Province Hardware and Timber Group in Western Cape, South Africa, from 1970 to 1974. Mr. Lazarus obtained his Certificate in the Theory of Accounting from the University of Cape Town, School of Accountancy in 1970 and attained his Chartered Accountancy designation from The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1972. Mr. Lazarus received an honours designation in Canadian law from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1976.
