Computers can get people's brains in a pickle. In the case of the father of the computer, it did. Surgeons removed Charlie Babbage's brain when he died in 1871, studied it briefly and stuck it in a jar of preservatives. It's on a shelf at the Museum of the Royal College of Surgeons in London, England.
