To be totally accepting means not to quarrel with what is showing up right now. It means not to reject it, or throw it back, or walk away from it, but to embrace it, hold it, love it as if it were our own. Because it is our own. It is our own creation, with which we are well pleased -- unless we are not.
If we are not, we will resist owning what we have created, and what we resist, presists. Therefore let us rejoice, and be glad, and should the present circumstance or condition be one which we now choose to change, simply choose to experience it in another way.
The outward appearance, the outward manifestation, may not be altered at all, but our inner experience of it can and will be changed forever, simply out of our decision about it.
Accepting something does not mean refusing to change it. In fact, the opposite is true. We cannot change that which we do not accept -- in ourselves especially, and outsite of ourselves as well. Accepting everything, therefore, as the divine manifestation of the divinity within us. Then we declare ourselves to be its creator, and only then can we "uncreate" it. Only within us to create something new.
To accept something is not to agree with it. It is simply to embrace it, whether we agree with it or not. Love would embrace the devil himself - if there were a devil - to heal him. Being Totally Joyful, Totally Loving and Totally Accepting, is something that even devil can not resist to change himself to a holy being.
This is where bad meets good. Hate meets Love. Hell meets Heaven, Wrong meets right. Negative meets Positive, Alpha meets Omega. First meets Last. Here meets There and so on. This is where everything is One. This is the absolute Nature of All There is. The holly spirit. The Father and Son. God and Devil. The feeling of fear and sadness and the feeling of safety and happiness.
We can change the world we live in. How? It starts with each one of us! Now, who do we choose to be?
Let us Remember, this is what we are after. We are not concerned with outer appearances, only with our inner experience. Let the outer world be what it is. We can creat our inner world as we would have it be. This is what is meant by being in our world, but not of it. This is mastery in living.
This is the Third Blessing Attitude, Being Tottaly Accepting. It is a blessing.
