Ali Izaddoost

... Ali was born on the 16th of April, 1941 in Tehran, the capital city of Iran, in a religous and well known family to old Tehranians.

Ali's father, Hadj Reza Izaddoost was a major share-holder and accountant in a trasnportation company established by him and his brother-in-law Hadj Mohamed Sohrabizade in Tehran. Ali had the opportunity to travel to different cities in Iran. It helped him to learn and understand the structure of shipping/receiving business. "Traveling makes an experienced person!" he used to say! He was very sociable and passionate person. He chose a life style that was based on his dreams and his passion.

In 1959 when he was 18, Ali got married to Shaheen Izaddoost. His young and shy causin. (This is a usual and cultural practice in middle eastern countries and Iran.) They were quite inexperience yet hard working and enthusiastic about the well being of their fast growing family. By their 8th anniversary, they had 4 children. Three daughters and a son. They struggled and put their best efforts in raising their children to the best of their knowledge and abilities. By their 34th anniversary, they had managed to enjoy a well established family and enough room for their 8 grand children.

In 1969 when he was 27, Ali established his real business working around his favorite art and hobby: Persian Carpets Export/Import. He traveled around the world and gained lots of experiences in Persian carptes. His noble knowledge in old/Antique carpets and area rugs was well recognized among his relatives, friends and business counterparts in Iran and around the world.

Ali's charming personality and his generosity towards charities and good will, made him a very popular and effective person in the society. He was the trustee among his family and friends. He would not turn his back to those in need, when he felt that he could help. If you'd met him once, he would have left a rather long lasting memory in your mind, either funny or valuable. People, his friends, relatives and strangers respected him for who he was, his personality and his passionate Karma. He lived a good life and kept his family and friends happy.

After 57 years, Hadj Ali Izaddoost left us in grief when on February 3rd, 1998, he left his body to rest in peace forever.

We wish for his soul to be blessed for he has yet been, a spiritual being, having a Human Experience!

Blessed be.
